Process Plant Trainer H/F


As part of the employee development, the process plant Department has implemented a competence development program for the benefit of the process Operators. The Process Plant trainer is primarily responsible to assist process supervisory / trainers’ group to achieve targets related to training, production and safety within the process plant and all different departments both in the field and classroom as requested within the company. He will be based on site SEGUELA.
  • The Process trainer will be responsible to:
  • Participate in the elaboration, implementation and adequate follow up of the Training and Management System.
  • Contribute to the monitoring, update and improvement of training materials e. g (training presentations, training assessments, SOP as well as any other related procedure).
  • Accurate updates on training matrix and personnel folders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of operators training plan as required e.g. (daily, weekly…. )
  • Contribute to the facilitation and or coordination of external or internal training programs.
  • Contribute on training activities report as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly…. )
  • Assist shift supervisors or leading hands as required on shift production matters or coverage.
Safety Management within the Department
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the company’s safety, environmental and social responsibility practices.
  • Ensure every person within the team is fit for work.
  • Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
  • Ensure hazard management plans are in place and observed.
  • Ensure proper record keeping on statutory and internal safety issues and meetings.

  • Promote and adhere to appropriate internal methodologies, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Consistently maintain a high quality of work within the department
  • Interpret and ensure compliance to all legislation, government standards and agreements.
  • Provide input regarding improvement opportunities and areas of risk.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (including Company Policy, Standards, and Procedures)
Constraints, Framework & Boundaries
  • The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the training, development and coaching of the national Plant
  • Operators is done to ensure that the company builds a competent operational team.
  • To train and mentor local Plant Operators.
  • To assist national leading hands in the day to day running of the process plant.
  • Manage time and personnel on a day-to-day basis to meet key responsibilities
  • Foresee, plan and allocate resources in a timely manner to meet key responsibilities.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in various sections of the processing plant
  • French and English language skills (desirable)
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build effective relationships and networks.
  • Possesses strong influencing skills and the ability to develop an effective team.
  • Demonstrates strong conceptual skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
  • Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
  • A reputation for integrity and ethics.
  • Translation skills. (English to French)
